It’s day 4.
I really did not want to work out today. It’s been go go go. Errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, Eleanor’s appointment, and then she woke up screaming at 7:30. I was so worried…I ran around like crazy trying to find the thermometer so I could check her temperature. She didn’t have one, thank goodness. Just wanted to be held…so we sat on the couch for an hour until she fell back to sleep.

And then I really didn’t want to work out. But I did (thanks to some encouragement). I feel better for it. And, everyone is right it does get easier. Day 4 was way easier well except for those darn bicycle crunches and the tail of end of those side lunges.

My legs have been burning for days, and I can definitely feel some increase strength in my abs. It’s amazing how easy it is to feel muscle when you actually work it out.

  • I’d love to know if it is very high cardio… would someone with bad asthma have trouble doing this program…? :)

    • It’s an intense workout… I mean I’m sure there are more intense workouts but basically Jillian says if you want results from a 20 minute workout you have to push. She sets it up so it’s 3 minutes of strength, 2 min of cardio (things like jumping jacks, jump rope, high kicks, boxing), 1 minute of abs. There are 3 rotations of this and then a cool down. It’s worth a shot? If you can do jumping jacks with asthma I would try it.

  • OH and ps. Yay for pushing through and working out when you didn’t want to :)

  • Way to go! I took yesterday as my rest day, but will be starting back up again today. I feel like working out is one of those things that is hard to get started on, but then there’s such a rewarding feeling when all is said and done so it keeps you coming back. Love it!

  • My rest day was Sunday and I really didn’t want to do it at all yesterday, but I did. It is still very hard for me, not the strength training part of the abs.. more the jumping jacks and the raising my right arm above my shoulder. (I have upper and lower body injuries) I have to modify sometimes and perfectionist that I am, it really irritates me, but I will keep on keeping on!
