I was looking at Zara Kids last night drooling over all the baby clothes! Alas I have little money to spend on baby clothes, and honestly don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable handing out $40 for a dress that Eleanor might wear 3 times. So I stick to thrift stores, and think about how easy it would be to sew something like that up if I had the time or patience!
Then I found this awesome diy sweater dress tutorial online inspired by a Zara kids dress. And, I had to try! It took maybe an hour, and was so fun! I don’t have a before of the sweater but here is the after.
The proportions might be a little off, and it’s quite itchy since it is wool. But I used this sweater mostly for practice. I’m going to stop by my favorite thrift store this weekend (everything is half off!), and find a few soft sweaters so I can make more!
Happy Friday everyone!
It’s going to be in the 80s here all weekend. Lovely.
